Syndicate Joker Reroll: Full Guide to Interest Rolling and Roll Down Timing

Master the Syndicate Joker reroll comp: slow roll at 3-2, all-in at 4-1 for 3-star, and adapt when contested.

1. Early Loss Streaking for Interest and HP Floor

The Syndicate Joker reroll is a classic low-cost carry comp. The core idea is to avoid rolling before 3-1, loss streak to build economy, quickly reach the 50 gold interest cap, then slow roll at 3-2 or 3-3 for 3-star. Key early points:

  • Opening Carousel: Prioritize Joker's item components like BF Sword, Bow, or Glove for Infinity Edge, Last Whisper, and Quicksilver. If no Joker, use Syndicate units (e.g., Darius, Twisted Fate) to transition, but don't roll.
  • Loss Streak Strategy: In stages 1-1 to 2-7, try to maintain a loss streak by fielding weak units, avoiding win streaks (they disrupt economy). But don't bleed too much; keep HP above 70 at 3-1 for late-game safety. If HP drops too fast, small roll at 2-5 or 2-6 for a Joker or 3 Syndicate, but don't break the 50 gold interest.
  • HP Floor: If HP is below 60 at 3-1, start early, abandon perfect economy, and roll at 3-1 or 3-2 to 2-star Joker and stabilize. Otherwise, even with good economy, low HP can get you eliminated in stage 4.

2. How Many Pop and Interest to Slow Roll? When to All-In for Core 3-Star?

The core rhythm is "start at 3-2, all-in at 4-1", but adjust based on card flow and contesters.

  • Start at 3-2: Level to 6 at 3-2 (or 3-1 if rich), then slow roll. Keep 50 interest, roll about 10 gold per turn, aiming for Joker 3-star while picking up Twisted Fate and Darius. Don't dump all gold unless you have 7-8 Jokers; prioritize interest.
  • All-in at 4-1: If Joker count is low (5-6) by 3-5, all-in at 4-1. Level to 7 (if possible) and roll all gold to force Joker 3-star. If Joker is already 3-star, use remaining gold to level or chase other 3-stars.
  • Interest Details: During slow roll, if Joker count is below 6, keep 30 interest instead of 50. Joker is a 3-cost, with 30% chance at 6, 35% at 7, so 7 is easier but more expensive. If card flow is good and Joker is near 3-star at 6, keep 50 and slow roll; if bad, all-in at 7.
  • Must All-In Timing: Regardless, get Joker 3-star before 4-5, or late-game strength suffers. If not by 4-5, consider pivoting to another carry (Akali, Jhin) but win rate drops.

3. Leveling and Trait Completion After 3-Star Carry

After Joker 3-star, the comp spikes; level up quickly to add traits and raise ceiling.

  • 6-Pop Setup: Joker (3-star), Twisted Fate, Darius, Ekko (or Leona), Braum, Syndra for 3 Syndicate, 4 Assassin (if Ekko is assassin) or 3 Syndicate, 2 Bodyguard, 2 Assassin. Joker items: Infinity Edge, Last Whisper, Quicksilver for damage and CC immunity.
  • 7-Pop Addition: At 7, prioritize 5 Syndicate (need Syndicate spatula or Akali) or 4 Assassin (add Katarina or Diana). If Joker items are good, 5 Syndicate's shield and heal boost survivability.
  • 8-Pop Final: Best at 8: 5 Syndicate, 4 Assassin, 2 Bodyguard, 2 Scholar (if Yuumi). Joker has great damage environment; Akali as secondary carry with Rabadon's and Blue Buff. If you get Syndicate spatula, go 9 for 7 Syndicate, but 8 is usually enough to win.
  • Item Distribution: After Joker 3-star, give extra damage items to Akali (or Kha'Zix), tank items to Braum or Leona, utility (Frozen Heart, Locket) to Twisted Fate or Darius. Joker must have Quicksilver to avoid instant death from CC.

4. Countering and Speeding Up When Contested

Contesters are the biggest threat to reroll comps. If 2+ players are playing Syndicate Joker, adapt.

  • Check Contesters: At 3-2, check others. If someone is rolling Joker, adjust:

- If only 1 contester: Continue slow roll but hold Jokers (buy them even if not 3-star to deny).

- If 2+ contesters: Pivot to Syndicate Akali or Syndicate Jhin, using Joker as a trait bot.

  • Speed Up: If contested but you insist, all-in at 3-2 to get 3-star before them. Don't care about interest, roll all gold even if HP drops below 50. Late 3-star means getting crushed.
  • Counter Positioning: If opponent has 3-star Joker and you don't, position your Joker diagonally opposite to make your assassins jump backline, or use Zephyr to lift their Joker. Build Thornmail and Dragon's Claw on frontline to counter physical or magic damage.
  • Pivot Options: If Joker isn't coming but Katarina or Diana are, pivot to Syndicate Assassins with Katarina carry (Ionic Spark, Hand of Justice), still using 3 Syndicate and 4 Assassin. Don't be stubborn; flexibility gets top 4.
