Ever had a peaceful trip home turn into a frantic search for a missing aunt? That's exactly what happens in Where Winds Meet's Chapter 1 quest, A Horse Neighs in the Forest. This guide walks you through every step, from the initial journey to the final showdown.

First up, you'll need to head back to Heaven's Pier. After speaking with Beard Guang, the quest begins. If you snagged a horse earlier, summon it for a faster ride; otherwise, hoof it. You can tackle side quests later, so focus on the main path.

At Heaven's Pier, Uncle Zhou will scold Ruby before sending you to Aunt Han at Blissful Retreat. It's a long trek, so a horse is handy—steal one if you haven't already. When you arrive, Aunt Han is upset but listens to your story. Then, she asks you to serve wine to Liu Sanye and other guests. After chatting with everyone, head to the private room to serve a mysterious person. Aunt Han then sends you to the Porcelain Kiln to check on a delayed order.

At the kiln, you'll find it attacked, with smashed goods and bodies. Use the 'V' key to investigate highlighted areas—first a smashed jar, then a sword in the dirt. Follow the path to the storage area, where you find a survivor named Bony. As you try to help him, a jianghu wanderer attacks. After a brief fight, a cutscene shows off your skills, and he stops. He demands to be taken to Han, but you pretend to be weak and end up as his captive on horseback.

You learn the notorious bandit Yi Dao is hunting Aunt Han. Look for a chance to escape. Once off the horse, head north through dense fog to the Ghost Temple. Hide in the secret passageway inside the red building to the right of the entrance. Before descending, smack the large bell in the courtyard for extra Proficiency Points—it's not stealthy, but worth it.

Go down the trap door, turn right to loot a chest, and follow the passage to a ladder. Descend and fight a low-level wolf—easy if your gear is upgraded. Loot the central chest for two Hemostatic Powder. Continue through the corridors, ready for more challenges.
