First, after writing a letter to Aunt Han about your decision to leave, you'll head to the ruined temple to meet Yi Dao. He's waiting by the fire above the main courtyard. Chat him up and ask every question you can—especially about Chu. That info will pay off later.

As you're catching up, trouble erupts in Blissful Retreat. Invaders sneak in, and after a heated argument with Yi Dao, you both agree to help. Head back down the cliff and join him on his horse, but you'll get knocked off over a bridge. When you wake up, follow the sound of townsfolk in need.

Help the survivors fight off enemies until you get a clear view of the town below. You'll spot three areas where enemies have gathered, but your map is disabled, so rely on quest markers. With allies like Du Qiaodian and Yuan Jingang, you'll rescue Song Jiu, Sing Si, and Beard Guang. Free them, then get info on Ruby's location from Beard Guang. Fight your way to her, then lead everyone to Sweetwine Tower. Expect another ambush on the way—send Ruby ahead to safety, then fight off the mob and free Yi Dao.

At the tower, Yi Dao explains the illusion over the town is caused by a 'Witch.' Ruby offers to help, but you tell her to stay put. You and Yi Dao fight the next wave outside the tower.
