Struggling to stay alive in Where Winds Meet? You're not alone. With tough dungeons and brutal bosses, knowing how to heal is crucial. Here's everything you need to keep your health bar full and keep fighting.
The main way to heal is using an item from your Medicine Chest. You have one Quick Use slot for medicine, and it has limited uses. Once it's empty, you'll need to refill it at a Boundary Stone.
To use your medicine, cycle through your Quick Use items with โ or โ on a gamepad or Alt+LMB/RMB on keyboard and mouse until the medicine is selected. Then press โ on gamepad or X on KBM to use it.
Medicinal items are one-use consumables, so stock up. You can find them in chests, get them as quest rewards, or buy them from merchants. To craft your own, open your inventory, press the Craft button (X/ โข /R), and go to the Brew Medicine tab.
You start with just one use of your Medicine Chest, which isn't much. Upgrade it to get more charges and better effects. You'll need Medicinal Tales, which you get from quests and encounters. When you have enough, you'll get a prompt when opening the map. Head to the Evercare Clinic on the west side of Qinghe and talk to Yao Yaoyao to upgrade your Medicine Chest.
Food is also a great way to heal. You'll find lots of food like Venison Soup and Steamed Fish. You can eat as much as you want, but only one Food effect is active at a time. Some foods heal instantly, others boost stats for 30 minutes. To cook, gather ingredients and find a Cooking Hearth at Crafting Zones near populated areas. Activate it to open the Food menu, which has Recovery and Buff Food. To learn a recipe, select it and read the info below the effect.
Two weapons can heal you: the Panacea Fan and the Soulshade Umbrella. Their Martial Arts skills heal you and a nearby party member. They use a resource called Dew, which you generate by using skills. When you have enough, the skills transform into Perception Skills that can resurrect fallen teammates or create a big healing burst.
Another way to heal is the Vital Leech Inner Way, found in the Palace of Annals. It heals you every time you use the Execution skill, which appears after you deplete an enemy's Qi (the blue bar under their health).
