Ever felt like your own gun or sword is out to get you in Mortal Shell 2? You're not alone. The game's default weapon tracking can make your attacks lock onto enemies—or worse, explosive barrels—like a magnet, leading to some hilarious and frustrating deaths. But fear not, a few tweaks in the settings can turn the tide.

First, let's talk about the culprit: Target Steering. This setting, which defaults to 'Default,' makes your melee attacks prioritize whatever enemy you're aiming at. Sounds good, right? But it also yanks your swings toward environmental hazards, like those pesky explosive barrels.
